Chase's new teeth...

He's been working on them for quite sometime but now they are out enough that we can appreciate them! He looks entirely different when he smiles now. I just hope we can hang on to them, I've already contemplated getting him fitted for a mouth guard!

Misc. Boy Pictures...

My boys have been very into sticking out their tongues lately. Here is Chase showing his off...
I just had to throw this picture in. Chase is a very active boy, always on the go but he definately utilizes bath time for relax time. Here he is treating it like a spa treatment.
At the Weber household we call this, chillin.
Here is Colby's tongue picture. Colby has what is called a geographic tongue, you can see it really well in this picture. It's an inherited trait in which your tongue gets these raised lines on it. Some times the lines are easier to see than others and the weirdest part is they are constantly moving. Everytime he sticks out his tongue it looks different. Crazy!
I barely even notice the chipped tooth anymore, it doesn't seem to be bothering him either...

Happy Memorial Day!

We had a really fun Memorial day weekend. Jason and I actually had two days off together. It was wonderful. The whole family was dressed up in Marines stuff to honor the day. Of course by the time I got the camera out Colby was undressed for a bath and Chase was a mess but here is one picture I was able to get. Now more than ever I am aware of the sacrifice that all of our current service members and Veterans have made so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. Thanks to all that have ever served and to their families too!

Boys will be boys!

Our house is in great condition minus the backyard. It is completely trashed. We've already invested tons of money and time into making it look better but as you can see from these pictures we still have a long way to go!
Colby LOVES being outside and on this day he discovered the joy of dirt...
He wasn't eating it so I don't know how he got it around his mouth!

Here you can see he put some of the dirt on his head.
Needless to say he got a bath when he got inside!
Fortunately Chase baby isn't quite mobile enough to get himself filthy in the yard. So after our yard adventures I went inside and spent sometime admiring Chase's beautiful baby blues...

Fateful Day...

We decided to have a few people over for dinner one Monday night. It ended up being quite the day...Colby loves being outside so while we were getting ready he was on the patio with us, of course wherever he goes the car follows.
While we don't condone drinking and driving Colby did it anyway....

Shortly after I took that picture Colby was playing on the patio and leaned on the baby gate. For some reason it gave away and he fell down the stairs. It was the most awful few seconds of my life. Watching him tumble down those stairs and being completely helpless to stop him was an awful feeling. Amazingly he just had a few bruises. I was shaken up long after he had gotten over it. Needless to say he's not allowed on the patio anymore!

While we were finishing dinner Colby and Uncle Garret had some male bonding time.
Here they are pounding it...
Colby is at an age where he demands so much attention that sometimes Chase gets overlooked. He thoroughly enjoyed all the attention he got from the pretty girls!
The party really didn't begin until Chase's pants came off. The girls just can't get enough of those chunky little legs!
That evening as we got the boys ready for a bath Colby got really affectionate towards his brother. It's so cute how loving they are towards each other. (you can see the bruise on Colby's head from his fall, poor baby. He is so tough though you'd never know that he hurt himself!)
After barely recovering from the trauma of watching Colby tumble down the stairs we found a snake in our garage. Jason and I both HATE snakes. I've never been around one in an uncontrolled enviornment and it was AWFUL!
Finally Jason killed it but it was not a pretty process. What a horrible day!

Hanging at home

Now that Jason works evenings all of my evenings off work are spent alone with my little boys, here are a few pictures I took on one of those evenings...

Colby learned to pour water over himself, he loves it!
Chase is in the bathseat now and he loves it!
This is actually Chase's stuffed animal but Colby has officially adopted it and likes to take it everywhere with him, I had to stop him short of getting in the bath with it though!
Snack time, Chase loves Suska's banana bread!
Colby loves watermelon but can't eat it with a shirt on, he takes these shirtless/onsieless opportunities to explore his belly button...

Family Night

With our work schedules the only full day Jason and I have off together is Mondays. After spending 6 days caught up in the chaos of life we both really look forward to our Mondays together. Here is how we spent the afternoon...
The boys spent some quality brother time together, they really loved looking at themselves in the mirror that hasn't been hung yet...
Here was my amazing mother's day gift from my boys...a dozen pink roses, a super sweet card and a gift certificate for an hour long massage!

Here was out attempt at getting a picture of me with both the boys...
The roses are so beautiful, it was fun to play with my camera a little and take some still shots (goodness knows any of the shots I take of the boys are anything but still!)

Buba and Mama (as he calls me)
Bob gave us some gift certificates to Dairy Queen and we decided to finally use them. Colby really enjoyed his vanilla ice cream! What a treat, thanks Bob!

Chase baby is too little for ice cream yet but he sure enjoyed chewing on the red,
plastic dairy queen spoon! Here is my attempt at getting a cute picture of Colby and Jason, boys will be boys!

Chase Baby's BIG Accomplishment....

This has been a very big week for Chase baby. He started sleeping in his own room on Thursday (April 30th) and has been sleeping through the night since! Today I decided to try to put him down for his nap unswaddled and he did GREAT! He slept for 2 hours. I think I was swaddling him for him as much as I was doing it for me. I was afraid to not swaddle him thinking he wouldn't be able to sleep, turns out he did just fine. Now that I'm actually getting some rest the quality of my life has improved 100%. I forgot how great I feel when I've had some rest!

Colby's love affair with the plunger...

I don't know what it is about that thing but Colby LOVES the plunger. After getting his haircut today we tried to get him in the shower with Jason to clean him up but he's terrified of the shower. The only way to convince him was to allow him to bring the plunger in with him. He ended up enjoying himself quite a bit. What is it about that plunger?!

Hair Cuts for Weber boys...

Colby HATES getting his haircut because he hates the clippers. We tried bribing him with a cupcake but as you can see...even that wasn't cutting it! He had himself so upset that his face was broken out into a red blotchy rash. We decided to go extra short so we won't have to do this again for awhile...

Yesterday after the party I asked Jason's mom, Diane if she could trim Chase's hair. It's a little out of control. I'm not ready to buzz it yet so she trimmed it up for us in the meantime. She did a great job even though she had to use our kitchen shears because we don't have very good scissors. Chase did well eventhough he looks completely miserable in this picture he never actually cried.
What a good baby!

Eyelashes...

Why is it that little boys are always the ones blessed with great eyelashes? Not the women who work and work with makeup and tools who are desperate for decent eyelashes!

Housewarming Party...

The housewarming party was a smashing success. It was great to see friends and family. I only wish I was able to chat with everyone more. It was a little hectic but a lot of fun. I was so busy getting food ready and chatting that I didn't take many pictures. Here are a few that we managed to get though...

Me, Chase, my best friend from college, Laura and my best friend from elementary school, Jana and her new little one, Rowan...
(I had a cyst removed from my eyelid two days before so I wasn't able to wear eye makeup - the true tragedy of the situation, and had the beginnings of a pretty black eye...)
Jason and my friend from high school, LJ just had a baby with his beautiful girlfriend, Hilary. He was only one week old and she had a C-section so I was totally impressed they were able to make it to the party. Little Izaya is absolutely beautiful.
They make such a beautiful family and will be amazing parents!
Chase baby thought Rowan was very exciting, he wanted to touch him desperately. He managed to get the chance while we were distracted taking pictures. Rowan didn't seem to mind.

Thank you to everyone who came over. It was awesome to see you and now you know where we live so stop by anytime!!!

Look what I can do!

Chase uses a paci during nap times and bedtime and also during car rides. He has discovered over the past few weeks how to put it in and take it out himself! What an accomplishment! At first we had to prop it in because he kept spitting it out, than he would accidentally pull it out but now he's in complete control and he's pretty proud of himself!

The Many Faces of Teething...

One of the disadvantages of having little ones so close is they both end up teething at the same time. Fortunately Colby is sailing through his 2 year molars (the only effects being the constant river of drool). Chase baby has been in a little pain but has only needed tylenol a few times. This has been the look on his face lately - poor baby, his ouchie grimace...

And here is the river or drool I was mentioning...
