Sleeping Prince...

Colby is 10 months old and is still not on a schedule. With the help of Sandi Rae we're getting closer and here is Colby taking his afternoon nap (a rare thing, he thinks he only needs one nap a day). I am so proud of him. Now if only I could get him to sleep through the night. I just got back from the library with a stack of books on getting babies to sleep. I'm going to have to figure something out! I can't wake up with two babies in the night!

Play time

Colby was in such a good mood while he was playing so I decided to take a video. He was using the little stick like a toothbrush and shoving it in his mouth but managed to keep it out while I was recording. You can see his little dimples when he talks. He's so funny!

Mommy Time

I only worked 9 hours today instead of the usual 12. It was so nice to come home and spend a little quality time with Colby while he was still awake. I just had to take a picture of Colby 'talking' whenever he says "Mom Mom" Or "Bob Bob" he always has HUGE dimples, it's so cute...one of my favorite features of his. I also snapped a picture of Colby with his new favorite toy, measuring spoons. He enjoys those more than any of the expensive store toys I've bought him. They entertained him for over 40 minutes in the bath tonight.

Happy Baby

Colby was giving some great smiles tonight. I took these pictures literally seconds after I put his jamies on for the night - just look at that drool spot!

Our friend Logan

Logan and ColbyHugs from Logan (well kind of, Colby had a bracelet that he needed to have and Colby loved the attention from Logan)
Colby, Logan and Logan's mom Hayley (my very special friend)
Colby's friend, Logan just turned one on June 19th and they happened to be in town this week so the boys got to spend some time together. They seemed to notice each other more this time and Colby just loved watching Logan swim (he's fearless!). They're only two months apart but you can tell Logan's parents are a lot taller than Colby's! He is so tall and so very handsome!

Pool Time

Colby just loves the baby pool but he's still a little timid so he likes to stay really near mommy. Bob's house doesn't have AC so the baby pool feels great to a giant pregnant chick too!

Mohawk Baby

Colby is FINALLY getting some hair on top and it's growing together to make a fabulous mohawk! Thanks Grandma Diane for the outfit sorry about the drool, it's a never ending problem around here!

Clap Down Low, Clap Up High

Colby is getting so good at clapping (another one of his favorite things to do), he recently figured out he can make the same noise if he claps down low or up high. It's so cute to watch!

Tinted Windows

We finally got our front windows tinted. They look so nice! I went and had the car cleaned and had Sandi take a picture so Jase can see how great the car looks. This is also a picture for all of you who want to see my ever expanding belly. I guess there is no hiding that anymore!

Colby's 10 Months Old Today!

Wow, how time flies! I can't believe Colby is already 10 months old. Here is a summary of life as a 10 month old...
Favorite Things: eating (especially yogurt, celery and ginger snaps), rolling (nope...still not crawling yet), bouncing, biting (a nasty habit we're working on), going for walks, swimming at the pool or splashing in the tub, caterpiller toy and measuring spoons.
Least Favorite Things: Being put down in the crib, long car rides, teething (Colby has four teeth on top now and three on the bottom!)

We love you Daddy!

Jase sent me this picture of himself and I just love it. It makes my day to see his smile. I know I'm not the only one missing him so I hope this picture makes you smile too!

Big Boy!

Grandma Diane bought Colby some really cute new jamies. They are big boy jamie pants. He loves them!
Look who can pull himself up to standing! Just kidding, I propped him up there...
I had to post some standing pictures since all of his baby friends (Logan and Rilyn are able to pull themselves up) I didn't want Colby to feel left out (eventhough he's not even crawling yet!)
He just loves Bob's bracelet. He kept trying to put it back on her wrist...
Colby loves his Bob Bob!
All of that standing (or pretending) wears a baby out!

New noises...

Colby recently learned to say "Lala" not sure what that means but he has a lot of fun saying it. He also demonstrates his uncanny spitting ability. I will never be able to keep up with the drool!

Curly Q

These pictures were taken literally seconds later, you can see he calmed down a bit. That baby loves the bath! I had to snap a picture of his curls. His hair is so fine and blonde that the only time you can see them is when his hair is wet. So cute!!!

Colby's rough life...

PLEASE MOMMY!!!! Hold me!!!! Oh Colby has it so rough...
He wanted to cry but Bob had the baseball game on TV and he was temporarily distracted from his temper tantrum...

Colby was getting very impatient and ready for his bath tonight. He was on the verge of a major meltdown. The sad thing is he was just making these expressions but wasn't crying. He can be so dramatic!

Spit King

I had no idea why Colby was drooling so much, he already had four teeth on top and two on bottom...but yesterday I discovered another tooth on the bottom! He is a tooth making machine! His drool problem is complicated by the fact he loves to blow spit bubbles. Would you believe I just put that shirt on him? Look at that immediate drool spot. There is no keeping up with this kiddo. That last picture is Colby with one of his favorite toys. I think he is going to be a musician. He loves music and is pretty coordinated at playing that thing.

Summer Clothes

I remember thinking over the winter that I was a little concerned about summer clothes, don't get me wrong...I think Colby is very cute but I thought his thighs would just look enormous. I'm happy to report he's thinned out (slightly) just in time for those short summer clothes and I think he looks pretty darn cute. Isn't it amazing to think his thighs look skinny to me? It's all perspective I guess! :D

Night Owl

Colby thought he needed to be up until all hours of the night tonight so this video is my wild child at 9:30pm! I don't want to put him down when he's so much fun and in such a good mood!

Hot Day...

It was so hot today so we spent part of the day at Wal Mart (mostly to get out of the heat), Colby enjoyed smacking this watermelon so much I decided to set it next to him in the cart, it provided many moments of entertainment... Colby passed out while we were outside on the swing and was so exhausted he didn't even notice when I layed him down on this pink blanket! (sorry Daddy! It was the only one I had handy, but doesn't he look good on pink?)

Short Glenwood Trip

We went to Glenwood for the Spinder Family Reunion but ended up leaving after only one day there, here are a few of the pictures I got while we were there.
Colby with his Bob Bob... Enjoying an oreo (that I did NOT want to give him) given to him by his naughty Suska and Bob Bob.
Tuckered out baby, camping is a lot of work!

PS: Happy One Year Old Birthday to our little friend Logan Hatch!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Colby had a lot to say to Daddy this morning on Father's Day. It is a little hard to decipher but I'm pretty sure he's saying, "I love you Daddy, you're the best Daddy in the world and I can't wait until you're home to play with me. You're my hero." We love you so much Jc! We can't wait till next Father's Day when we can all celebrate together.

Story time with Uncle D

Uncle D spent some time reading stories to Colby...
Colby enjoyed it so much he leaned over to give Uncle D a quick kiss, it happened so fast I wasn't able to get the camera in focus...
He really loves stories!
He looks like hot stuff in Uncle D's baseball hat (eventhough it's a little large)...

The latest chew toy

Colby loves biter biscuits but they make such a mess! I gave him a piece of celery today thinking he'd hate it because it's not sweet but he chowed down on that thing for 30 minutes! I'm sure there is a reason you're not supposed to give it to babies but I couldn't figure it out. Colby chokes on pieces of biter biscuit that break off but we didn't have any of those problems with the celery! Hooray! A new trick and baby occupier to store in my repertoire!

Uncle D's Game

Cool Kid with his hat backwards...
BIG TOOTHY GRIN!

Look at those dimples...

Uncle D, very focused...

Uncle D up to bat...

Using those legs, he loves to feel the grass on his toes...

Uncle D, the star baseball player and his favorite little nephew...
