Colby's new toy, and new discovery

I found an exersaucer for Colby, he's not quite big enough for it but we decided to give it a test drive. Colby's newest toy is his hands! They've discovered each other and he's slowly beginning to realize they belong to him, he's very excited. I took this picture to show this discovery, it wasn't until I downloaded it to the computer I realized the position of his hands, oops! :D

Colby is as big as Felix!

Our giant cat Felix decided to lay with Colby, it's amazing to see how their sizes compare.

Playing with daddy

Jason is such a great dad. He is really starting to have fun now that Colby is getting more of a personality. He plays this game with Colby and Colby LOVES it! He even got him to giggle. It is so cute to watch them interact. Colby is mesmerized by Jason and Jason is just tickled by Colby.

Colby and Mommy

While Jase was cutting the turkey Colby and I kept ourselves busy doing a photoshoot. I love how the Christmas lights reflect off of our window. I don't care that we're the only ones in the complex that have them up already, I turn them on proudly!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had to celebrate a day late since Jason had to work but we had a great day. We cooked a huge turkey and I made: lemon pepper green beans with almonds, orange salad (a staple), homemade mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, scotcharoos, and rolls. The next day we had some of Jason's Marine friends over and I made bacon wrapped water chesnuts, taco bean dip, oatmeal rasin cookies and cherry cola jello salad (thanks Aunty Cindy!). Who would have known I would become such a cooker.

Chilling in the swing

Sleeping with Daddy

My boys sure do sleep a lot! These pictures were taken on the same day! Can you believe how much they look alike? I am still amazed!

Chore time

Colby likes to be held all the time so he gets a little testy when I have to put him down for chores. Here he is helping me fold laundry.

More fall pics

Colby and I went to downtown New Bern and took some pictures of the pretty changing leaves.

Beautiful fall colors

One of the advantages to living in a humid enviornment is we are blessed with a beautiful fall. It seems crazy that it is almost Thanksgiving and the leaves are just changing. I could have taken a million pictures.

Naked Baby!

My mom thought it was time to post another naked baby picture. I couldn't agree more! Here is Colby, rolls and all, ready for a bath!

November family pics

I didn't know we were going to be taking pictures or I would have worn makeup!

Boy Pics

There are some really good ones of Jason, his dad and Colby. Kenny timed it just right with the leaves changing. I love that picture of him walking with Colby, the leaves are absolutely breathtaking!

Down by the water

It was so nice to be able to take some family pictures and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day too. We took these pictures down by the water in New Bern. I am always complaining about where we're living that sometimes I forget how beautiful it is. I love the last picture, look at the sunny skies, green leaves and green grass...and if you look really close you'll see the fake snow on the Christmas wreath. It makes me smile, NC is a completely different world than Colorado. I don't even think you can buy wreaths with fake snow in Colorado, what's the point?!

Scaredy Cat

Big tough Felix was so terrified of Jason's dad we didn't see him the entire time he was here. Finally I discovered his hiding place, Colby's moses basket that was tucked under his crib. What a goofy kitty!

Chubby baby

Colby is really outgrowing our sink. I just don't think one can take enough bath pictures. There is nothing cuter than a chubby baby in the tub! It is especially fun now that he's smiling although usually the bath relaxes him so smiling requires too much effort.

Snuggle time with Daddy

Ah, my tough Marine husband is turning into such a softie as a Daddy. It is so cute to see him snuggle with Colby. I love this picture, he's even holding his hand. There is something so special about seeing my two boys together.

Silly Grandpa!

Colby must have had some good bonding time with Grandpa because he was sure making him smile! This morning he was talking to Colby and the combination of his loud, happy voice and his boundless energy made Colby giggle! It was the first time he's ever done that and I can honestly say it was the greatest noise I've ever heard!
PS: Look at those rolls!!!!
