Rose Time

Colby was in such a great mood after his nap that he took lots of great pictures with Rose. It was hard to choose the best one! Colby, leaning into kisses (that boy just loves to be kissed!)
Who would have thought clementines could be so fun!

Bye Bye

Everything Bob Bob does Colby thinks is so funny! Of course by the time I got the camera out it was a little less funny but there are still some good giggles. His latest trick is waving, my videotaping was horrible but you can still get the idea.

This Little Piggie

This is one of Colby's favorite games to play! He thinks it's so funny.

Sleeping Baby

We had a very fun day today visiting with my mom and her best friend, Rose who was visiting from Arizona. It wore Colby out so much that he actually took a nap at my mom's house. Nothing beats a sleeping baby!

Playtime is Exhausting!

The jumparoo is such a great toy, he even has fun when he's not in it! Best $40 I ever spent!
All that playing wore Colby out, he almost fell asleep in the middle of the living room floor. He was a complete noodle as I carried him down to bed and layed in his crib without a peep!

Busy Day

Hanging out at the party, Colby entertained himself for almost an hour with a plastic fork and spoon. Wallet time! He loves playing with that thing!
Bath time, I think we've almost outgrown the sink (which makes me very sad because I'm not looking forward to bending over a bathtub!)
Holding his own bottle, I couldn't believe it till I saw it myself. That little boy has me trained!

Swing Time

Colby absolutely loves the swing! He could have done it for hours!
Daniel is the best uncle in the world. The swing was hot so he sat in it for awhile to cool it down with his wet swim trunks so it wouldn't burn Colby's little legs...but Daniel got stuck and it made for quite the show! I guess infant swings aren't meant for 9 year old boys!

Colby's 11 Months Old!

Now that Colby is 11 months old I thought I would give an update...

Favorite Things: playing with mommy's wallet (he's obsessed, as soon as he sees it he freaks out until I give it to him), strings and hangers (real safe huh?), measuring spoons, eating fruits and any sweet snacks Suska will give him, jumping, going to the pool and bath time.

Least Favorite Things: When mommy takes her wallet back, bedtime, when no one is paying attention to him - it makes him very upset and fussy.

He has 7 teeth (four on top and three on bottom), he can hold his sippy cup himself and will hold his bottle too (except when mommy is feeding it to him, he thinks that is her job), he is good with finger foods and finally puts them in his mouth (but still doesn't put much of anything else in his mouth), he also can hold the spoon and likes to help guide it into his mouth. He is not officially crawling yet, he can move backward but hasn't quite coordinated his legs to move with his arms but he is DEFINATELY mobile. He uses other means of transportation when there is somewhere he really wants to go :D He can pull himself up to his knees but not up to his feet yet. He says 'mom mom', 'da da', 'bob' and 'yeah'

New Kid in Town

I finally got to meet my little niece, Sarah! She is absolutely beautiful. Such a tiny little peanut. I was interested to see how Colby would react to this new little creature. When I was holding her he didn't seem to notice her but when he saw her in her car seat he couldn't get close enough to her. It's kind of hard to see his expression but he was grinning ear to ear. He kept wanting to touch her face and hands. It's hard to believe that 2 months from now we'll have another little one around.

Happy Baby

Colby had such a blast at Suska's when we drove over to drop off the dogs. He was bathed in attention from Suska, mommy and Sandi - what more could a little boy ask for?! 'I don't know what to do with my hands!'
Sitting like such a big boy

Tasty Treats

Who knows what kind of tasty treats Colby will find at Suska's house. First he was enjoying some licorice (what a sticky mess!)

Than it was time to enjoy some wafer cookies. He ate this thing in less than a minute and was much more serious while doing so (I think because he knew it was only a matter of time before mommy was going to put an end to all this sugar madness!)

Sunglasses Fun

Sandi and I spent all day today searching for cute birthday invitations for Colby. By the time we got to Party America (which was a total bust) we were getting frustrated and exhausted...until that is we ran across the sunglasses stand. We just parked ourselves on the floor and had Colby try them all on. We were laughing until we had tears in our eyes and Colby appeared to be having a good time too!

Colby's favorite game...

Colby loves to play a new game that we call freeze. I will dance around and than yell 'freeze' and jerk my hands still. Colby thinks it's hillarious and will even mimic me. It's the cutest thing in the world. He had us laughing for hours.

Get that toothbrush

As you know mobility isn't a huge issue for Colby. There aren't too many things that will get him moving...except for the toothbrush! As soon as he saw that on the table he figured out how to get himself over to the table and pull himself up just enough to reach it. Maybe he's destined to be a dentist!

Fun Toys!

This was a great garage sale find and Colby loves it! You can't leave him unattended with it though, before you know it he'll be rolling on the floor with it and his legs will be stuck! is dexterity is getting so much better that he can actually slide the beads on the wires.

I had to work today so Sandi kindly photographed the day's events...
Brushing teeth, favorite part of the day!
Second only to bath time, the ultimate favorite part of the day...
Bath with a view
Escaping baby! Check out those buns! And new back muscles that are developing because of all the crawling practice he's been doing lately.

A day in the life of Colby...

It starts out by helping make breakfast (Colby loves to grab as many things as he can off the pantry door when it's opened)Success!Than we enjoy brushing all 7 of our teeth!

Sometimes Mommy even lets me do it, I love to brush my teeth! Just look at those pearly whites!
Than we like to do some bouncing...
And play with Sandi's face, she is so silly
Than I take a little time to show off my dimples Next it's relax time while Sandi tickles my arm pits, I love that for some reason!
Some time is spent testing out my brand new Britax carseat that mommy got on clearance at Target, I love it! What a big boy I am!

Next it's time to reorganize my diapers! I'm really good at that job!
Than it's time for some exercise on cousin Sandi

What a big day!
