Timeout for Lightning

I'm not sure what the Lightnings did to deserve a timeout but that is where I found them!

Family Reunion 2010

After our hectic week I wasn't in the greatest of moods when I got to the camp ground for the Family Reunion. Amazingly it was easier last year with two kids under the age of two than it was this year. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have but here are a few!
The boys absolutely adored cousin Jake, he is so great with kids!

Adventures at The North Pole!

On the Timmons second day we decided to go up to Tiny Town. It is this adorable amusement park geared towards little ones (although you can tell from the look on my face it was pretty fun for adults too!). It is nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. There are never any lines and even on hot summer days the mountains shade it perfectly. The Weber family was kind of a wreck on this day...three days prior Colby went to the Emergency Department and got three stitches (thanks to a tumble on our concrete patio). They told us to keep a bandaid over it to help with the scarring. Chasey got a few mosquito bites on his face. For some reason he swells terribly with these. That is why his eye is all swollen. (People were asking us if the boys got into a fight!). To top it all off, Jason woke up that morning with the worst pain he has ever expirenced in his eye. I had never seen him like that before. We rushed him to the urgent care (Brendan and Stacey were kind enough to watch the boys). As soon as the doctor saw Jason he moved into high gear. Jason developed a condition called, Iritis. It is extreamly rare, almost unheard of in a healthy adult male. It is something that is associated with an auto immune condition. Jason was given a steriod eye drop and asked to put one drop in his eye every hour, even while sleeping. If it didn't resolve with this he would require steroid injections into his eye. After initially worrying that Jason had some underlying condition we began to brainstorm and realized that the symptoms started the evening after he was allergy tested. Jason is allergic to almost everything. My hypothesis is the allergy testing switched his immune system into high gear and that is what resulted in the iritis. Needless to say, Jason wasn't feeling his best at The North Pole but, being the all star dad that he is, he sucked it up. He let me take the boys on all the spinning rides (he was feeling really weak and nauseated) but other than that he joined in the fun. He is such a trooper. After realizing we had taken Colby to the ED (for stitches) and Chase to Children's (for his eye swelling) and Jason to Urgent Care (for iritis) Jason kept telling me that I was the next to have an emergency. I told him my emergency would be a rush to the mental ward thanks to all the stress my three boys put me through! What a week!

Breckenridge

We took a little roadtrip up to Breckenridge. The boys were so cute, they all wanted to hold hands. On the way home Landon started to cry. Stacey asked him why he was crying and he said, "I'm going to miss the mountains!" Overall it was a great day and made me thankful to live in beautiful Colorado.
