Playing Ball

Jason will be so proud, Colby started to 'play ball' for the first time the other day. Although Jase wants him to be throwing the ball instead of rolling it (when I told him he said, "we're not going for a bowling career here! We need to get that baby to throw the ball!"). He has to start somewhere! All the action is at the beginning of the clip, I didn't edit it before I posted it. Overall though...I think we may have a little athlete on our hands!

Belly Pictures - 18 weeks

As much as I didn't want to post this Hayley asked me really nicely to post some belly pictures (didn't I just do this?!) so here they are! I am now 18 weeks pregnant.
I know the picture on top is really dark but I was cracking up because Colby just LOVES to look at himself in the mirror and I managed to get a picture of him smiling in the mirror too!

Cell Phone Eater!

Colby LOVES playing with my cell phone. If he sees me holding it he'll grab it like he thinks it belongs to him! That phone has done so well too, despite being dropped and drooled on. I thought he broke it yesterday but it fixed itself overnight. I guess I should be a little more careful! Not only does Colby like to talk with his eyes closed but lately he's been smiling with his eyes closed. He is so expressive! :D

Wizard of Oz

We went to see some of our cousins perform in the Wizard of Oz. Aly was Glenda (the good witch), Maci was a munchkin, Brooke was a poppy and Andrew was a member of the Wicked Witch's clan. Bella and Annie were well dressed princesses (who watched the play, not quite old enough to participate). Everyone did wonderfully! Including Colby who sat through the 2 hour play much better than I expected he would.

Kicking Feet and Giggles

Colby was not only giggling tonight but twirling his right foot, he's being so silly. I just knew Jason would enjoy watching his silly son. He's so entertaining!

Closed Eye Talking

Colby has started a new trick, he closes his eyes when he's talking...like it adds more emphasis to his words or something. It's so silly! I don't know what made him start to do that but it makes me giggle everytime! He is really starting to talk more, his first official word is "ba ba" which is kind of odd since he rarely drinks out of one, but it's a word!

Big Giggles

Bob found a secret trick...Colby thinks it is REALLY funny to hear you say, "woof, woof" like a dog. It makes him giggle everytime! Even if you whisper it!

Highchair fun

Colby gave me some great grins today after dinner. Thanks to Jana's husband, Rick, I learned how to adjust the settings on my camera so the flash doesn't totally wash Colby out.

New Stroller

I was fortunate enough to find a $200 stroller at a consignment sale for $20. We went on a really long walk today with Mindy to test it out. Colby LOVED it. He didn't even play with his toys, he just sat back and enjoyed the ride. Although he was hanging on at all times (he has never really been in a stroller until now since I've always worn him in the wrap). It was quite the adventure!

Colby loves his Hop and Pop!

Colby loves this toy I bought him at a consignment sale, it also buys me a few hands free moments. He is starting to look so old!

The best baby wrap in the world!

I thought I should send post some pictures of the baby wrap I've been telling Jason about for the past two months. Right before he left I had him almost convinced that I needed a $100 wrap for Colby. Fortunately I bumped into a mom who showed me how to make a great baby wrap with only 5 yards of fabric. It is so much more comfortable than anything I've ever had and it was really reasonable to make! (I bought the fabric and Sherri sewed it so it looked nice) I took some pictures of how to put it on to send to Anna (she is due this Friday with her first baby). I was e-mailing her today and thought I should post some of these on the blog so Jason can see what I've been talking about. As you can see Colby loves it too! I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to wear him in it though with my ever increasing belly size!

Cousin Time

Colby had a blast playing with cousins at Aunty Cindy's wedding shower.

Highchair Fun

The other day when I was talking to Jason on the phone Colby was being SO talkative! He had just finished eating breakfast and was telling Mommy and Daddy all about his plans for the day. Jase asked me to take some pictures of him so here they are! If only I took a video you could hear how much Colby had to say!

Happy Wedding Auntie Ling!

Laura got married today. It was absolutely beautiful and she looked nothing short of amazing. Colby loved getting some kisses from her! I had some friends take a few of Colby and I together so Jason could see his family. It sure would have been nice to enjoy the wedding with him too! We thought about him a lot though! Eventhough Jason wasn't there Colby made a GREAT date. He even gave me a few kisses, what a guy! And he sure looked handsome in his suit!

Laughs for Daddy

One of Jason's favorite things to see are videos of Colby laughing so whenever he's in a good mood I try to get a quick video for Jase. I know this will make Jase smile.

Happy Naked Baby

Colby is the happiest at night time right before he gets his bath. I got some really good smiles and of course some good shots of his chubby body!

SOOOO BIG!

Colby learned a new game the other day, he raises his hands high in the air when I say, "so big!" it's so cute!

Yummy toes!

Colby has recently discovered his tasty toes! I think he may be a little more flexible because he's losing a little of his bulk. Who would have thought toes could provide such endless entertainment! That's what I love about babies, life is a continuous discovery!

The Ups and Downs of Colby

He was really happy when I took these first pictures but absolutely mad when I took the last one, I thought I should include them all! He has a wide array of emotion but fortunately he's mostly happy.

Colby's Jester

Uncle D just loves to make Colby laugh and Colby just loves to watch his Uncle D do silly things! It is a match made in heaven. Today they were having fun with animal noises.

Happy 7 year Anniversary Jc!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JC!!!!
As most of you know we got married in July of 2006 but we actually went on our first date on April 7, 2001. We have been inseperable ever since! I wanted to take a little time to make a post that showed a few of the thousands of special memories we've made together in the past 7 years. I am so blessed to be your wife Jc. I miss you every single day and I can't wait until you're home and we can make more memories together. I love you with all of my heart!!
Our Honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Repubilc it was the most spectacular trip I've ever been on!
Our wedding day (obviously!) I didn't know they were going to smack me on the bootie with a sword!
August 28th, 2007 we finally got to bring Colby home. We were exhausted but happy to be able to bring home a healthy baby!
The Marine Corps ball, our first time out without Colby. Jason looks so handsome in his Dress Blues!

Getting ready to eat at a 'restaurant' in the Dominican, the food was so awful but the trip was still amazing!

Our roadtrip out to North Carolina after we got married. It was long but we had a great time! We were just so thankful to be starting our lives together after spending so long apart.
August 2005, Jason suprised me at my apartment! He found out on very short notice that he was going to be deployed and made a last minute trip home. I was so happy to see him on my doorstep but scared and sad about his upcoming deployment.
North Carolina 2006. Isn't it beautiful?! Although we've been back to the ocean several times since than and it wasn't nearly this blue. I was so happy to have Jason home safe from Iraq and getting so excited for our up coming wedding day!
Steamboat, summer of 2004. I went with Jason and the Weber family. It was a blast! And especially fun to go on a trip with Jase.
The morning after our wedding. We spent our wedding night at the amazing Hotel Teatro. It was perfect. We even got to wear these great robes! The view from our room was fantastic! We were so happy to be a married couple!

Snowboarding, winter of 2003. We had such a great time, Jason was so patient with me on the mountain (I am a terrible snowboarder!).
Maryland, July 2005. This was right before Jason proposed to me! One of the greatest nights ever!
Washington DC, summer 2005. We made a trip down to see the monuments when I was in Maryland. It was so special to see those historic sights with Jason after he made such an monumental commitment to the United States by becoming a Marine. Iwo Jima carried an entirely new meaning for both of us.
Getting ready for Josh's wedding. I am so luck to be able to call the most handsome groomsman in the wedding my very own! I'm the luckiest girl in the world!
