Halloween Pics...
The Friday before Halloween Sandi and my mom and I took the boys down to Trick or Treat in the town of Castle Rock. It was a blast! The boys totally got the hang of trick or treating and the weather was perfect. Halloween was a lot of fun too. We went to Sandy and Dan's for lunch and than Cristi's for dinner and trick or treating. It was a little chilly but pretty mild in the grand scheme of Colorado Halloweens. We went to quite a few houses but Colby walked the entire way. He loved it when the houses had dogs and was more interested in them than the candy. He also wanted to "shoot" the candy into his trick or treat bag instead of dropping it in there (he LOVES basketball!!). After trick or treating all the kids went back to Cristi's to check out the candy they got and to make trades. Bella was being really patient but was getting annoyed that Colby kept trying to get into her candy. She even laid herself down as a barrier to shield her candy from Colby. He didn't have a clue what was going on and laid down next to her. Of course Colby didn't even care about eating the candy he just wanted to throw the candy. Chasey didn't quite grasp Halloween yet. He loved riding in the backpack with Suska and loved playing in the candy but other than that it was just another day for him. Fortunately he didn't have the same costume aversion as he had the first time I put it on! Enjoy the pics!

Adventures of Two Brothers...
It is so amazing to watch the boy's friendship grow each and everyday. They truly enjoy each other's company. I am so thankful that not only they're close in age but also that they are both boys. I remember how upset I was to find out I would be having another baby so soon and upset again when I found out Chase was a boy but now I wouldn't trade it for anything! Here are a few of their favorite things to do...play with Mr. Potato head, sit in their chairs while drinking milk, playing in the cabinet under the stove (really safe huh? It's the only one that doesn't have a shelf) and climbing into the drawer underneath the stove. Here are a few of the first adventures of many for these two boys!

Date Night...
Jason got some tickets to the Rockies playoff games and eventhough the temperature was in the mid 40's I decided to go with him. (he went the night before with his brother and the temperature at the opening pitch was 35! Now that's CRAZY!) It was freezing but such a blast. It was great to have a little date night, thanks to my parents for watching the boys. We had a lot of fun, unfortunately they lost that night and it ended the season but it was still a lot of fun!

Finished patio project...
We started this project in the middle of July and now it's October and the first phase is finished. First we had the stamped concrete patio put in, than the gas line than my uncle Butch who is an artist to say the least, designed the fire pit. It works wonderfully. The night of Chase's party we sat out there for 4 hours and eventhough it was really chilly we stayed warm. I know we'll make lots of special memories out there! The next step will be a bench that my uncle will build along the outside edge of the patio, I think that will wait until next summer though. As you can see the grass in the backyard is still not great but it's looking better after spending many hours in that yard!!!

Our Affectionate Colby...
Colby is such an affectionate little boy. He loves giving kisses and snuggles. His favorite person to love on is his brother. Just the other day he was trying to hug Chase (who in his own little way was trying desperately to tell Colby he was in his bubble and pushing him away). Chase kept pushing Colby away so Colby simply moved Chasey's hands to his side and hugged him again (poor Chase was left with no way to escape!). What a little lover! Such a sweet little boy.

A little Halloween Preview...
Just for kicks I decided to try on some of our Halloween costumes. Fortunately we can get some use out of ones we already had! The dragon costume is what Colby wore on his first Halloween and will be what Chase wears this year. The lobster costume is what Chasey wore on his first Halloween but I just couldn't resist trying it on him. As you can see Chase thinks the whole costume thing is another form of torture. Colby on the other hand loved wearing the costume and didn't want to take it off!
