Day Two of Roadtrip...

Leaving Winston Salem, North Carolina. Loading up on hotel coffee!
Goodbye North Carolina...Hello Virginia!

It was very hard to get any pictures of Chase
(as he was facing backwards in the seat behind mine) but I did my best!
Colby was ready to rock and roll!
I am so bummed, I missed the official West Virginia sign so this was as good as I could do...

I went to the bathroom and this was the sight I came back to as I approached the car...
My fuzzy haired baby, what a trooper!Jason got tired of driving so he let Colby have a turn. (Just kidding! But it almost looks like Colby is on an actual road in this picture!) I think it's so amazing that Colby knew exactly how to place his hands on the steering wheel and drive. He can't see the driver from his car seat so how does he know that is what the driver does??? Kids are so smart!
Snoozing through a beautiful part of the country, I just love that church in the background!
Stopping for lunch at Arby's.
Chase was happy to get in a little stretching out time too.
Finally...Kentucky! We were planning on staying in Louisville...
Here we ran into some really difficult driving conditions. I was so thankful Jason was driving.
The boys slept right through the bad weather.
We made such good time today we decided to go a little farther and stay in Indiana...
Here is the ice that formed on our mirror while driving, it was bitter cold.
Finally we stopped in Corydon, Indiana. I wish we could have made it 20 or so more miles to stay in Santa Claus, Indiana but the boys were done and Jason and I were exhausted...

We all needed some unwind time so we decided to go for a dip in the pool. This is Chase's first time in a bathing suit. Who knew those rolls could look so good in a suit?!
Such good boys...
