I found an exersaucer for Colby, he's not quite big enough for it but we decided to give it a test drive. Colby's newest toy is his hands! They've discovered each other and he's slowly beginning to realize they belong to him, he's very excited. I took this picture to show this discovery, it wasn't until I downloaded it to the computer I realized the position of his hands, oops! :D

Colby and Mommy
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
We had to celebrate a day late since Jason had to work but we had a great day. We cooked a huge turkey and I made: lemon pepper green beans with almonds, orange salad (a staple), homemade mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, scotcharoos, and rolls. The next day we had some of Jason's Marine friends over and I made bacon wrapped water chesnuts, taco bean dip, oatmeal rasin cookies and cherry cola jello salad (thanks Aunty Cindy!). Who would have known I would become such a cooker.

Down by the water
It was so nice to be able to take some family pictures and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day too. We took these pictures down by the water in New Bern. I am always complaining about where we're living that sometimes I forget how beautiful it is. I love the last picture, look at the sunny skies, green leaves and green grass...and if you look really close you'll see the fake snow on the Christmas wreath. It makes me smile, NC is a completely different world than Colorado. I don't even think you can buy wreaths with fake snow in Colorado, what's the point?!

Chubby baby
Snuggle time with Daddy
Silly Grandpa!
Colby must have had some good bonding time with Grandpa because he was sure making him smile! This morning he was talking to Colby and the combination of his loud, happy voice and his boundless energy made Colby giggle! It was the first time he's ever done that and I can honestly say it was the greatest noise I've ever heard!
PS: Look at those rolls!!!!
