Getting ready for Halloween!
Colby isn't into trying on costumes but Chasey sure is! He gave everyone of them a try, even the afro...what a good sport! It's hard to imagine that last year at this time he wasn't even walking!

Zoo Day
The weather has been absolutely beautiful this month, I decided to act on it and take the boys to the zoo. We met my friend, Rebecca, there and had a blast. The boys loved looking at the animals but loved the zoo train the most! (as you can tell by their expressions!)

Paint Time!
I finally gave in and let the boys paint, they love doing it! Chasey looked at me very seriously and said, "No paint my hands mama" (Whenever I bust the paint out I can't help but get a few hand prints...and those hand prints have to be perfect so I inevitably do quite a few). I obliged Chasey's request and didn't paint his hands...this time :D

Let the Halloween Festivities Begin!
The Egan family let us borrow this adorable Halloween costume, Chasey could hardley wait to wear it! He would probably leave it on all month if I let him. He does make an awfully cute spider!
Thanks Auntie Ling!

Bauer and the Boys
Colby and Chasey adore Bauer and I think the feeling is mutual. Bauer will push Colby's door open when he's in his room taking a nap and will climb onto his bed and lick his face until he wakes up. When Chasey is in his crib he will put his paws through the rails to place one on Chasey. He tolerates so much from these boys! Chasey loves to 'ride' Bauer like a horse and Colby is obsessed with his tail (he'll often say, "Bauer's tail is so long!"). The boys will frequently tell me, "Bauer is such a good dog" or "Bauer is the greatest dog" out of the blue. And they also know how to tell him to sit and lay down in German. Colby was also trying to train Bauer when he was trying to jump on the couch when Jason and I were sitting on it with the boys. Colby said, "No Bauer, the kids are trying to sit here!" Dogs are A LOT of work but we are so thankful for what Bauer has brought to our family he truly is the "greatest dog".
Sandbox...
The boys' love playing with the sandbox at Suka's house. We bought them a sand and water table but are waiting until Christmas to give it to them, in the mean time we've improvised :D This was the brilliant idea of my friend, Angie. I bought a ton of Quinoa which the boys (including Jason) refused to eat so it became the 'sand'. This provided hours of entertainment. I found it very interesting how when I cooked the Quinoa with spices the boys refused to eat it, when it became sand however...they ate a ton of it! Funny how that works!
