Chase, like every baby, has fussy periods and he is VERY loud. I have tried EVERYTHING from swaddling, nursing, walking, cuddling, bouncing, swinging, shushing to get him to stop and nothing seems to work except for this...I lay him over my lap and than gently pat on his back and booty like a percussion drum set and...miraculously...he stops!

My conclusion...newborns are weird.

do you think he has reflux? everything you are describing sounds like my friend jessica's baby who has moderate reflux. he is a breast baby and spit up some, not tons, and was VERY fussy. he is on zantac now and is a different kid. just thought i would let you know that! your family is beautiful!
