Happily announcing the arrival of Chase Taylor Weber!

On Friday, September 26th around 3pm I noticed I was having some pretty regular contractions. I wrote it off for awhile because I feel like I've been having contractions since June but by 8 that night they were regularly 5 minutes apart so we headed to the hospital. When I arrived they saw I was 4cm dilated and agreed to keep me. They had me walk for an hour and re-checked me at that point I was 5cm and was admitted. Jason and I were exhausted but we walked the halls. By early on the 27th I was 6cm dilated and they broke my water. By about 2 in the afternoon I had dilated to 8cm but after hours of exhausting labor with zero pain medication I gave in and agreed to get the epidural. I was so exhausted I just couldn't cope with the labor pains any longer. The epidural was perfect this time, I had enough pain control to manage but could still feel my contractions and knew when it was time to push.
At 4:56pm the baby boy arrived, he was a little blue but his Apgar scores were 8 and 9. It was such an amazing experience this time because I felt I had actually experienced the labor whereas with Colby I had the epidural very early and had little to no part in actually pushing him out. I was able to hold him on my chest and get to know him for 2 hours before they took him to weigh him and all of his cares were done in the room next to me.
Baby Feet...Can you believe it...9 pounds 8 ounces!! I knew this baby was BIG!
Our little brown haired baby.
Our friends Chad and Stacey watched Colby while we were in the hospital. We were completely surprised to see they had decorated for our arrival. It made us feel very special.
Colby noticed the baby immediately and gave him snuggles (leaned forward and touched his head to Chase's). Colby didn't seem to mind the baby unless he was crying. The noise scared Colby so much he starts crying too.
Chase's first morning home, check out those big lips!

Chase's First BathHe's not a fan of baths just yet
I knew I was going to get my dark haired baby!

He is so cute!!! You look awesome Ashley - hopefully you are able to get some rest! Chase is adorable. I wish I lived closer so I could snuggle him. I can't wait to hear stories of how the boys interact with each other!

He is SOOO cute!! Congrats and good luck with adventure of being a mom to 2!! Mine are 15 months apart, so yours are a little closer. It is lots of fun. It is crazy how you can have 2 babies that look like complete opposites. They are both adorable. Have fun.
